What we are looking for

Aurora hires talented people with diverse backgrounds who are ready to help build a transportation ecosystem that will make our roads safer get crucial goods where they need to go and make mobility more efficient and accessible for are searching for a HW Test Engineer with an interest in complex highly integrated custom hardware systems. This role is highly hands-on and sits at the multidisciplinary intersection of electrical mechanical and software engineering. This engineer will be supporting the Product Integrity Team which is responsible for design/production validation of the entire autonomous hardware kit including computers integrated sensor pods and more.

In this role you will

  • Own multiple test setups involved in validation waterfalls
  • Participate in root cause and corrective action (RCCA) and debug efforts.
  • Support modules through environmental and vibration testing and validation as a test infrastructure owner.

Required qualifications

  • Working knowledge of test equipment including thermal chambers vibe tables liquid chillers power supplies electronic loads and DAQs.
  • Multidisciplinary experience across ME/EE; expertise in one knowledgeable in the other.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechatronics Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or Computer Systems Engineering.
  • Python experience (automating repetitive tasks analyzing data and working within larger testing frameworks).
  • Experience conducting thermal vibe testing
  • Experience working in a Linux environment and with computer networking

The base salary range for this position is $127000 - $184000 per year. Auroras pay ranges are determined by role level and location. Within the range the successful candidates starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills experience qualifications relevant education or training and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus equity compensation and benefits.
