Senior Full Stack Developer (AWS Python)

CGI is seeking a senior self-directed Full Stack Developer to build and support an AWS hosted application developed primarily in Python.
This position is required in one of the following locations: Lafayette LA Knoxville TN Birmingham AL Columbia SC

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $97300.00 $123800.00.

Youll take requirements from initial clarification through implementation and troubleshooting working independently while collaborating with the DevOps team on deployments.

The application uses AWS services including S3 Lambda ECS Fargate and PostgreSQL/Aurora. The role also involves working with existing Terraform templates and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with AI or retrieval augmented generation (RAG) is a plus.

. 15 years of software development experience including full stack development
. Strong hands on Python development experience
. Experience building and supporting applications on AWS including services such as S3 Lambda ECS Fargate and PostgreSQL/Aurora
. Ability to take requirements and independently drive development through delivery and troubleshooting
. Practical experience working with Terraform templates and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams
. Exposure to AI or RAG projects is a plus; Java experience is also helpful

Educational Requirements:

Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems or a related field. Equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
