M9 Solutions is seeking aSenior Firmware Engineerto work onsite in support of a government contract for a client located in Taunton MA. An activeSecret clearanceis required.
Responsibilities
- Apply principles and techniques of electrical engineering to develop test and implement electrical components equipment and systems.
- Participate in requirements analysis design integration and verification processes as well as support technical reviews and root cause analysis.
- Work within defined processes and collaborate with project leaders program managers and external customers.
- Design and implement bare-metal firmware in C for ARM Cortex-M and other microcontroller architectures.
- Develop drivers and low-level interfaces for peripherals including SPI I2C UART GPIO ADC PWM and timer modules.
- Profile and optimize code for performance power consumption and memory constraints.
- Work closely with hardware engineers systems architects and product teams to translate requirements into firmware solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Science Engineering or Mathematics field plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
- Ahead of technology trends with Research & Development (R&D) experience.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills with demonstrated success leading design teams for complex projects.
- Team player committed to ongoing professional development for self and others.
- Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Use oscilloscopes logic analyzers debuggers (SWD JTAG) and embedded testing frameworks to validate firmware functionality preferred.

- M9 Solutions pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include but are not limited to responsibilities of the position education experience knowledge skills abilities as well as internal equity location alignment with market data applicable bargaining agreement (if any) or other law.

$60000 - $180000 USD
