Job Summary

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Facilities Project Engineer to create innovative solutions for unique critical facilities and problems associated with continuity of operations and disaster recovery. The candidate filling this role will provide expertise in construction management facility operations maintenance management acquisition planning contract support engineering design review (specific to buildings and facilities) and project planning including cost estimation scheduling and resource requirements. The candidate will offer professional management and evaluation services on assigned projects concerning design construction development and installation of facilities. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in developing and maintaining Intelligence Community relationships and interfacing with Community points of contact on a regular basis
  • Working with Government representatives architect/engineering firms and necessary organizations to review design changes equipment specifications/substitutions construction changes technical proposals and purchasing and accounting procedures
  • Developing and designing feasibility studies for review and dissemination among program stakeholders
  • Engaging with customers to establish requirements and translate into floor plans designs and layouts
  • Reviewing engineering drawings specifications and blueprints for technical accuracy and provide feedback to promote rapid implementation of activities with multiple stakeholders
  • Preparing Memoranda of Agreements with external organizations to establish roles and responsibilities of activities with multiple stakeholders
  • Assisting in developing operational concepts and plans based on requirements
  • Assisting in developing critical processes and procedures for senior government officers
  • Supervising construction equipment installation renovation and redesigning projects and overseeing progress to ensure that the schedule costs and requirements are being met
  • Providing project management and configuration management to support projects of varying sizes
  • Assisting in overseeing project schedules critical path analysis project financial management coordinating construction changes evaluating value engineering proposals resolving design and construction issues facility commissioning and coordination of facility occupancy and operations
  • Delivering oral presentations
  • Creating and maintaining a configuration control system
  • Facilitating program control gate reviews and ensure requisite configuration management activities are completed
  • Providing support to facility operations by performing budget reviews logistical planning and support participation in operational exercises consistent with established procedures
  • Tracking requests in a government-controlled database suggesting prioritization and recording decision making process
Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph level clearance is required
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Civil/Structural Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Architecture Construction Management or other related scientific or other technical discipline
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years or more of total relevant work experience including ten (10) years or more of specialized relevant technical experience in engineering design and construction construction management and facilities Operations & Maintenance (O&M) management. An additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Must have experience and knowledge of existing government procedures
  • Must possess in-depth understanding of Intelligence Community building standards
  • Must be willing to work both independently and in collaboration with other Facility Project Engineers Customers and Stakeholders to support mission requirements
  • Must have excellent communication skills

Target Salary Range
$146000 - $234000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
