Senior Enterprise Architect – AMI Modernization

Role Overview

Were seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to support a major AMI modernization initiative. This role defines endtoend architecture across SaaS and cloud platforms ensuring alignment with longterm business priorities compliance requirements and operational readiness. Youll partner with vendors system integrators and internal teams to shape architecture strategy integration patterns data design and deployment planning.

What Youll Do

• Evaluate SaaS vs. cloud deployment models for security resiliency and integration impacts
  
• Review integration requirements dependencies and vendor/SI deliverables
  
• Support data architecture design including models mappings and canonical structures
  
• Develop enterprise architecture blueprints and longterm roadmaps
  
• Lead crossfunctional teams implementing complex architecture solutions
  
• Establish architecture governance standards and review boards
  
• Negotiate technology solutions and integration patterns with vendors
  
• Advise senior leadership on architecture trends and investment priorities
  
• Oversee risk management and compliance for architecture programs
  

Experience:

• 10 years of related experience.
  
• Preferred: 5 years as an architect with AWS cloud solutions integration architecture vendor/SI delivery and SAP/CIS integration touchpoints.
  

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to align systems architecture with longterm business and technology strategy.
  
• Ability to define architecture standards reference models and best practices.
  
• Ability to influence crossfunctional teams without formal authority.
  
• Expert knowledge of IT systems architecture across multiple domains.
  
• Knowledge of emerging infrastructure and platform technologies.
  
• Skill in solving complex crossplatform architecture challenges.
  
• Preferred: Experience with REST APIs eventdriven architectures messagebased integration and secure data exchange.
  
• Preferred: Knowledge of utility metering MDMS headend systems or enterprise asset/customer system integration.
  
• Preferred: AWS cloud design patterns supporting vendor SaaS or cloudhosted AMI solutions.
  
• Preferred: AWS cloud architecture certification.
  

Education:

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  
• Preferred: Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering CIS or related technical discipline.
