This is an opportunity for an experienced and technically grounded Application Platform Administrator to take ownership of the operational health performance security and governance of enterprise application platforms. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex multi-team environments and brings a strong blend of administrative expertise analytical thinking and collaborative partnership across technology and business functions.

About the Role

The Application Platform Administrator is responsible for environment administration capacity planning and optimization tenant-level configuration monitoring and supporting governed enterprise usage at scale. This role works closely with platform owners application teams data engineering security quality and FinOps to ensure reliable secure and cost-effective service delivery across the platform landscape. Additionally this administrator may build lower to mid-level complexity solutions and reports.

What Youll Do

Platform Administration & Governance

• Administer and maintain enterprise application platforms ensuring operational health performance and security across the environment.
• Manage tenant-level configuration environment strategies and application platform architecture including datasets workspaces refresh schedules and gateways.
• Support governed multi-team platform usage at scale ensuring adherence to data governance and information protection policies.

Capacity Planning & Optimization

• Lead capacity planning efforts monitor capacity metrics and apply performance tuning concepts to optimize platform efficiency.
• Apply FinOps practices for SaaS and capacity-based services to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
• Leverage Azure Monitor Log Analytics or custom monitoring solutions to maintain platform visibility and proactive issue resolution.

Security & Compliance

• Administer identity and access management using Azure Active Directory / Entra ID.
• Ensure platforms align with information protection policies and enterprise security standards.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Partner with platform owners application teams data engineering security quality and FinOps teams to deliver reliable and scalable platform services.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for application platforms using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Build and deliver lower to mid-level complexity solutions and reports as needed.

What Skills You Need

• Minimum of 6 years of experience administering application platforms in an enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of application and platform licensing and environment strategies.
• Strong understanding of application platform architecture including datasets workspaces refresh schedules and gateways.
• Familiarity with FinOps practices for SaaS and capacity-based services.
• Familiarity with data governance and information protection policies.
• Experience supporting governed multi-team platforms at scale.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with Power Platform Azure and/or M365 Admin Centers.
• Experience with Power BI Premium or Fabric capacities.
• Experience with Azure Active Directory / Entra ID administration.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric workload administration.
• Experience with Azure Monitor Log Analytics or custom monitoring solutions.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Microsoft certifications such as PL-600 PL-400 PL-200 DP-500 or equivalent Power BI/Fabric certification.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
