Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Job Description

DUTIES: Design develop implement and test low level embedded software including but not limited to: RTOS Memory Fault Detection Power Management LIN DMA PWM Input/Output Discrete Input/Output Analog Input/Output. Utilize MCAL configuration tool to generate software and hand-code. Design and execute tests to ensure compliance with the component technical requirements. Provide independent review of software written by others. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science Electrical Engineering or related field of study and Five (5) years of experience as an Embedded Software Engineer Validation Engineer or related occupation. Alternatively the employer will accept a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science Electrical Engineering or related field of study and Three (3) years of experience as an Embedded Software Engineer Validation Engineer or related occupation. Three (3) years of experience with: Designing developing and testing Microcontroller and ECU Abstraction Layer and Complex Drivers for AUTOSAR; Reading schematics and understanding of basic electrical circuits; Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) for multi-core microcontroller; ARM PowerPC and Renesas microcontrollers; Performing root cause analysis with Integrated Basic Software and Application Software on multi-core microcontrollers; and Embedded compiler linker debugging tools and software including Lauterbach ETAS INCA CANalyzer oscilloscopes and other general lab equipment.
