JOB DESCRIPTION Role: Senior Electronics Characterization Engineer Work Location- Palo Alto CA (Onsite) Duration: Long term Contract
The Senior Electronics Characterization Engineer with 10 year of experience for Zonal and Battery ECUs is a crucial individual contributor within the Electronics Test and Validation team responsible for ensuring all electronic control units are correctly designed and manufactured through module-level validation. This role involves owning the design verification and characterization of ECUs by developing and executing detailed test plans performing bench-level electrical testing for every ECU version and revision. A significant component of the role is cross-functional collaboration with EE teams to define test plans develop the necessary hardware and software automation at scale and own the reporting of results
Key Responsibilities
Own design verification and characterization of Zonal and Battery ECUs
Develop and execute detailed test plans for every ECU version and revision
Perform bench-level electrical testing at module level
Cross-functional collaboration with EE teams to define test plans
Develop hardware and software automation frameworks at scale
Own reporting of test results and validation outcomes
Skill Requirements
Zonal ECU circuit bench testing: CAN-FD LIN bus power switching
BMS analog circuit testing: voltage sense accuracy current sense offset
Temperature measurement circuit calibration (NTC RTD)
Isolated communication testing: ISO SPI isolated CAN transceivers
Basic precharge / contactor circuit validation
Instrumentation: bench power supplies e-loads data loggers
