Senior Electrical Engineer – HVAC Controls & Industrial Systems

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with proven experience in commercial HVAC products industrial controls or building automation systems. This role supports product development and manufacturing operations through electrical troubleshooting controller programming wiring documentation component sizing and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with a strong track record in production support electrical design and HVAC-related controls engineering. Candidates with 10 years of experience are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Create and maintain wiring diagrams schematics electrical documentation and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for commercial HVAC products.
• Program develop test and support controllers and control systems.
• Specify and size electrical components including electric reheat systems wiring conductors and heating elements.
• Support product validation testing and flow stand operations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineering service sales and customers to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure products and designs comply with UL ETL and applicable electrical safety standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality reliability and production efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Electrical Engineering experience in manufacturing production support HVAC industrial controls or related industries.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical systems in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Experience creating wiring documentation electrical schematics and related engineering deliverables.
• Experience programming and developing controllers or control systems.
• Experience specifying and sizing electrical components including wiring and heating elements.
• Working knowledge of UL and/or ETL safety standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong problem-solving communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10 years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• Commercial HVAC equipment or HVAC controls background.
• Experience with LabVIEW programming and test automation.
• Experience supporting product testing validation or automated test stands.
• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
