Position Overview:
Echocardiographer will perform Echo and Stress Echo tests Transesophageal (TEE) Echocardiogram and Doppler ultrasound. Echocardiographer will work in Cardiac Non-Invasive Lab EP and Cath Lab OR ICU and willalso work with patients at the bedside. 3 years of experience required
Required Education:
Bachelors Level Degree Associates Level Degree - CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGY OR High School Diploma.
Echo Tech experience in lieu of education: Yes
License and Certifications:
Basic Life SupportRequired
Adult echocardiography registry (ARDMS RDCS or RCS) required within 12 months of hire.

Sentara Leigh Hospital located in Norfolk VA is a 274-bed acute care facility that opened in 1903 and relocated to its present site in 1977. We are also home to the regions only 24-hour hyperbaric oxygen program that helps speed up the healing of carbon monoxide poisoning wounds that wont heal infections in which tissues are starved for oxygen airborne chemical exposures and scuba diving accidents.
