What this job involves:

The Senior Design Manager will be part of JLLs Global Design team working closely with project teams around the world to drive design excellence across our clients portfolio. As an experienced architect and design professional this role partners with key real estate leaders business partners and service providers to balance global design consistency with the flexibility needed for regional effectiveness. You will collaborate with clients architects and project management teams to translate vision into reality conceptualizing and implementing design solutions that elevate the quality and innovation of our work.

This role will require an on-site presence at our clients headquarters in Salt Lake City UT 3 days/week.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Lead the end-to-end design process from initial concept through project completion ensuring a seamless experience for clients and stakeholders
• Engage in comprehensive client consultations to understand project requirements preferences and business objectives in order to shape bespoke design concepts
• Direct and support design teams evaluate project performance and manage external consultants and vendors
• Review detailed design proposals including mood boards material selections color schemes and furniture layouts while maintaining alignment with budgetary constraints
• Collaborate with architects and contractors to integrate design elements smoothly into the construction process
• Source and liaise with vendors artisans and suppliers to identify materials furnishings and accessories that support each projects design vision
• Apply a strong understanding of design principles aesthetics and user experience to every stage of a project
• Articulate design concepts clearly and persuasively to stakeholders including executives clients and cross-functional teams
• Maintain awareness of business context customer needs market trends and the competitive landscape to inform design decisions

Required qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience leading design projects from concept through completion
• Strong knowledge of design principles materials and construction integration processes
• Experience managing design teams consultants and vendor relationships
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to balance creative vision with budgetary and business constraints
• Experience collaborating with architects contractors and cross-functional project teams

• 10 years of post-education experience practicing architecture
