A growing construction company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee renovation and construction projects throughout New York City. Projects include apartment renovations high-end residential renovations commercial spaces retail build-outs and select ground-up construction projects. This individual will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously coordinating field operations maintaining client communication and ensuring projects are completed according to schedule and company standards.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Manage multiple active construction projects simultaneously
Develop and maintain project schedules
Conduct regular job site visits
Coordinate subcontractors vendors and field crews
Coordinate staffing needs across active projects
Order materials and coordinate deliveries
Review plans drawings and project specifications
Ensure work is completed according to project requirements
Monitor project quality and workmanship
Manage project paperwork and documentation
Follow applicable building requirements safety requirements and project specifications
Conduct weekly client meetings and provide project updates
Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the construction process
Communicate project status challenges and resource needs to company leadership
Oversee Junior Project Managers when applicable
Identify issues and help drive projects to successful completion
Qualifications:
Project management experience - construction is a major plus
Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings
Strong organizational detail-oriented and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to take ownership of projects and work independently
OSHA SST Certification preferred
