Senior Construction Architect
Quinn Evans is seeking a full-time Senior Construction Architect with 12 years of professional experience including strong experience in project management and construction administration. The ideal candidate will have experience leading projects through the construction phase and coordinating closely with clients consultants contractors and internal project teams to successfully deliver complex projects. Experience with learning civic/community cultural and heritage projects including both new construction and adaptive reuse is preferred. Strong communication technical organizational and leadership skills are essential along with a thorough understanding of construction processes building systems codes and project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage construction phase services for multiple concurrent projects including project meetings site observations documentation correspondence submittal and RFI reviews payment application reviews and field reporting
- Coordinate and collaborate with owners consultants contractors and internal project teams to address technical scheduling and construction-related issues while maintaining alignment throughout project delivery
- Review and evaluate RFIs submittals shop drawings product data material samples and proposed changes for conformance with contract documents design intent building codes accessibility requirements project scope budget schedule and quality objectives
- Conduct periodic site visits and inspections to monitor project progress identify and help resolve construction issues and ensure accountability to established project requirements and performance expectations
- Maintain accurate and current project documentation ensure timely communication and coordination of construction-related information and monitor potential impacts to project scope schedule budget and additional services
- Apply expertise in architectural structural civil and building systems to support decision-making and maintain design intent throughout construction
- Foster collaborative relationships among project stakeholders and provide mentorship and guidance to architects designers and other team members
- Travel to project sites as required
Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program
- Registered Architect required
- 12 years of professional experience including experience with project management and construction administration
- Demonstrated experience leading or managing construction phase activities for complex projects
- Experience with learning civic/community cultural or heritage projects is preferred
- Experience with both new construction and adaptive reuse/renovation projects is preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction processes building systems accessibility requirements and building codes
- Strong knowledge of construction administration processes and practices
- Familiarity with Owner-Architect Owner-Contractor and Architect-Consultant agreements and the roles and responsibilities of project participants
- Demonstrated leadership and experience working effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Experience with quality assurance/quality control processes
- Knowledge of sustainable design practices; LEED credentials are a plus
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed
Compensation
- Salary Range: $75000$120000 Annually
