The Department of Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) is seeking to hire a Senior Compliance Analyst in OIGs Bureau of Compliance and Evaluation for its office located in Springfield IL. The Senior Compliance Analyst will travel to conduct reviews and site visits related to addressing the root causes of abuse and neglect of individuals with disabilities at state operated facilities and community agencies. After collecting evidence and conducting interviews the Senior Compliance Analyst will prepare a professional well-written report that summarizes their findings and makes recommendations for corrective action. The Senior Compliance Analyst will be responsible for tracking and ensuring compliance of written responses submitted in response to OIG investigations and coordinate all activities of employee placement on the Health Care Worker Registry. The position will also review and track reportable referral cases. Given the sensitive nature of OIGs work OIG staff must maintain records carefully and take confidentiality seriously. OIGs mission is to ensure that individuals with disabilities are treated with respect dignity and care.
- As Senior Compliance Analyst travels statewide to conduct unannounced site visits of all Department of Human Services (DHS) state operated facilities.
- Coordinates the reporting of persons with substantiated findings of abuse sexual abuse or egregious neglect to the Department of Public Healths Health Care Worker Registry which requires the taking of an individuals constitutionally protected property right.
- Executes the written response compliance process.
- Review and track reportable referral cases.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
- Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college with course work in business or public administration.
- Requires three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or private organization.
- Of the three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience requires three (3) years of professional experience conducting compliance reviews audits or performance evaluations related to mental health or developmental disabilities to ensure compliance with laws regulations best practices and corrective action to improve performance related to compliance issues.
- Three (3) years of professional experience conducting compliance reviews audits or performance evaluations related to mental health or developmental disabilities to ensure compliance with laws regulations best practices and corrective action to improve performance related to compliance issues.
- Three (3) years of professional experience writing complex analytical reports.
- Three (3) years of professional experience assessing and analyzing data.
- Three (3) years of professional experience utilizing critical thinking skills while working on multiple projects maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with professionalism.
- Three (3) years of professional experience ensuring compliance with State law administrative law program directives best practices and corrective actions for a public or private organization.
- Three (3) years of professional experience communicating in verbal or written form with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Requires the ability to travel in the performance of job duties with overnight stays as appropriate.
