Job Summary

As a Senior Compliance Analystin the Exceptional Learning and Related Services Departmentyouare responsible forensuring the districts educationalprogramsespecially those serving students with exceptional needsconsistentlyfollowall federal state and local Senior Compliance Analyst serves as the districts resource on compliance issues supporting staff and leadershipinmaintaininghigh standardsand protectingstudent rights.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure departmental compliance with federal state and local regulations related to exceptional learning including but not limited to IDEA andMassachusettsspecial education laws.

  • Utilizeinternal compliance systems ensuringtimelyandaccuratesubmission of required reports and documentation.

  • ReviewIndividualized Education Programs (IEPs) for accuracy completeness and compliance.

  • Serve assubject matterresourcefor staffregardingcompliance standards policy interpretation and regulatory updates.

  • Assistin theorganization andschedulingofprofessional development and training for staff on compliance-related topics.

  • Assistwith the development and revision of procedures to enhanceIEPcompliance and operational effectiveness.

  • Demonstrated ability to use good judgment and discretion in sensitive confidential issues and projects.

  • Collaboratewith school administrators and support staff when communicating on behalf of the Exceptional LearningDepartment

  • Communicate with parents/guardiansand representatives fromother school districtsregardingincoming students who require support from the Exceptional Learning Department.

  • Perform any other relateddutiesassigned byDepartment Leaders

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degreein education or administration(Mastersdegree preferred).

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in special education compliance school administration or a related area; experience in K-12 public education preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state special education laws regulations and best practices.

  • Experience conducting compliance reviews audits or investigations.

  • Excellent analytical organizational and project management skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present complex information clearly.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience practicing conflict resolution/mediation in a mid-size to large environment

  • Proficiencywith relevant software and data management systems.
