Senior Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

Pay: $150000.00 - $210000.00 per year

Location: Sherman Oaks California hybrid schedule with associates generally working in the office at least 3 days per week. We value an in-office culture while offering additional flexibility for the right fit. This is not a fully remote position.

Note: An active California Bar license and at least 4 years of substantive civil litigation experience are required. Candidates must have practical experience handling civil litigation matters and be prepared to contribute quickly.

Job Description

• Manage substantive civil litigation matters with significant responsibility and autonomy
• Draft and edit pleadings motions briefs written discovery and other litigation documents
• Prepare for take and defend depositions
• Conduct legal research and develop practical case strategies
• Work directly with clients to evaluate disputes provide legal guidance and move cases toward resolution
• Handle negotiations mediations hearings and other key litigation events
• Prepare matters for trial and participate in trial proceedings when appropriate
• Collaborate closely with partners and colleagues across a broad range of civil and business-related disputes

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing
• 4 years of substantive civil litigation experience
• Strong experience with pleadings discovery depositions motions and trial preparation
• Excellent legal research writing analytical and communication skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple sophisticated matters and deadlines
• Trial experience preferred
• Mid-size or large law firm experience is a plus
• In-house and solo-practice candidates are welcome if they bring strong practical civil litigation experience
