Summary

As an AWS Software Engineer on the City IT Integrations team youll help build the core integration technology that connects CESs internal systems and third-party services across a company operating 1000 branches worldwide. This is a chance to build enterprise grade serverless applications that support real scale and to grow your skills on a team working on how a growing companys systems talk to each other.

Essential Job Functions

• Design develop and implement AWS serverless solutions and enterprise grade applications using TypeScript to deliver robust integration technologies.
• Work closely with engineering teams across the company to support smooth integration between internal systems and third-party services.
• Support CI/CD pipelines using AWS tools such as CodePipeline CodeBuild and CodeDeploy for consistent reliable software delivery.
• Write well-structured code that follows SOLID design principles clean code practices and REST standards.
• Contribute to the teams AWS cloud applications and services participating in code reviews and technical discussions.

Education/Experience

• 3 years of professional software engineering experience with solid TypeScript development skills.
• Hands on experience with AWS services in a serverless first microservices oriented environment including:
  • Compute: Lambda ECS Fargate
  • Storage and Data: S3 DynamoDB RDS
  • Integration: API Gateway AppSync Step Functions EventBridge
  • Security and Identity: IAM Cognito
  • Networking: VPC CloudFront Route 53
• Familiarity with CDK for defining cloud infrastructure as code.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines using AWS tooling.
• Proficiency with Git/GitLab for source control and team collaboration.
• Exposure to designing or supporting event driven systems.
