Job Summary
The ideal candidate will provide legal advisory and support across the Companys real estate operations disputes and transactional matters and serve as a strategic partner to business stakeholders on a broad range of legal and real property DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDraft review and negotiate real estate documents including commercial leases amendments estoppels purchase and sale agreements easements SNDAs demand letters and other similar counsel to Real Estate Department and field operations on real estate real estate due diligence in connection with M&A transactions with the Companys M&A team and outside or conduct title and survey review and manage resolution of title issues in connection with acquisitions dispositions and leasing landlord-tenant disputes property rights matters and related real estate controversies including directing resolution strategies and coordinating with outside identify potential legal risks in real estate operations and policies and develop risk mitigation strategiesEnsure compliance with applicable federal state and local real estate laws and regulations. Advise on land use zoning permitting and entitlement matters in connection with facility development expansion and and evaluate outside counsel to ensure high-value efficient manage the legal aspects of the Companys real property portfolio including identifying portfolio optimization and evaluate legal and other technology tools for inclusion in the Real Estate Department and Legal Departments optimization other company-related legal functions as needed. Other duties may be assigned including but not limited to compliance-related RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no supervisory REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability Doctorate (J. D.) from an accredited law school excellent academic record and active member in good standing in at least one State three (3) to five (5) years of relevant legal experience. Real estate transactional experience is a candidates will have a combination of law firm and in-house to read analyze and interpret complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints. Ability to think strategically and translate complex legal concepts into practical business to write using original or innovative techniques or style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management or industry negotiation and dispute resolution to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
