This Opportunity:
Palladium is seeking a Senior Associate Financial Accountingto play a criticalrole in supporting the financial integrity and operational success of theAmericas Region. This position offers an opportunity to work across a broadrange of accounting functions including general ledger management accountreconciliations month-end close payroll accounting audit support andfinancial compliance. The successful candidate will partner closely withproject teams regional leadership and corporate stakeholders to ensure accuratefinancial reporting strong internal controls and adherence to accountingstandards and regulatory requirements. Location:
The position is based in Palladiums Arlington VAoffice within our Americas region. Candidates must have current US workauthorization as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.
Palladium supports a hybrid working model with 3 days in office 2 days fromhome.
Compensation:
The full-time equivalent annual base salary for thisposition is expected to range from $74000 to $78000. Please beadvised that a final salary offer will be based on various factors includingbut not limited to your qualifications education experience skillsseniority performance and Palladiums business or organizational needs.
Reporting Lines:
- The Senior Associate will report directly to the Manager Financial Accounting
- The role will not have supervisory responsibilities
- The role will be required to liaise closely with corporate senior managers project teams other employees and external service providers
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Associate Financial Accounting is responsiblefor supporting general ledger activities and financial accounting operationsacross the Americas Region. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity offinancial records supports monthly close activities and provides operationaland audit support across multiple finance functions.
The position will:
- Prepare monthly cash reconciliations and related journal entries.
- Record and maintain ongoing cash receipt transactions and company credit card acquittals.
- Prepare and post recurring and non-recurring journal entries in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for various asset and liability accounts and provide a written report explaining significant variances.
- Perform monthly salary and wages reconciliations.
- Support project teams with QuickBooks setup maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Provide backup support for finance operations including accounts payable payment releases as needed.
- Assist with the preparation and review of local legal entity trial balances.
- Support corporate project payroll indirect cost and external audits by preparing schedules reconciliations and supporting documentation.
- Respond to ad hoc financial and accounting requests as assigned.
Essential Criteria:
- Professional experience with provable leadership skills and the ability to pivot between system process and technical detail to strategy development and solving issues
- Experience is required in US GAAP and preferred in IFRS and strongly preferred in Government accounting regulations CAS FAR (Federal acquisition regulations)
- Solid understanding of general ledger accounting journal entries accruals and account reconciliations.
- Exposure to treasury and foreign exchange
- Ability to analyze financial data identify trends and provide recommendations to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to resolve complex issues build solid relationships and deliver outcomes
- Strong analytical planning and financial management skills coupled with the ability to thrive under pressure and balance several competing projects at once
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Criteria:
- Bachelors degree in accounting finance or business administration
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Quickbooks
