About the Role:
An established litigation firm is seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to join its Employment Law Practice in San Francisco. This role is ideal for an experienced employment litigator seeking meaningful responsibility direct client interaction and hands-on involvement in complex employment matters including wage and hour disputes PAGA actions workplace investigations and strategic counseling. Attorneys in this practice work closely with experienced litigators while maintaining substantial autonomy in managing cases and shaping litigation strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and lead employment litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Handle single-plaintiff employment disputes as well as complex wage and hour class and representative actions.
Advise employers and employees on workplace compliance investigations discipline terminations and separation-related matters.
Draft argue and oppose dispositive motions and other substantive pleadings.
Oversee all phases of discovery including written discovery document review and strategy.
Conduct and defend depositions of parties witnesses and experts.
Appear at hearings mediations settlement conferences and other proceedings.
Communicate directly with clients opposing counsel government agencies and courts.
Provide practical business-oriented legal guidance in complex employment matters.
What Were Looking For:
6 years of litigation experience in state and/or federal court.
Significant experience handling employment law matters.
Strong background in motion practice depositions and discovery management.
Excellent legal research writing analytical and advocacy skills.
Solid understanding of California employment law and civil procedure.
Ability to independently manage cases while balancing multiple priorities.
Strong interpersonal and client communication skills.
Active California Bar membership or ability to obtain admission promptly.
