This position will provide on-site support at the Air Force facility. UDRI is seeking an experienced professional to serve as an airworthiness technical advisor ensuring the continued airworthiness safety and regulatory compliance of aircraft systems and components throughout their operational lifecycle. Key responsibilities include evaluating aircraft and system-level technical data reviewing engineering changes and repairs assessing service bulletins and airworthiness directives supporting maintenance and reliability programs providing technical guidance on airworthiness process and supporting the airworthiness certification basis and compliance reviews.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering Aviation or a related technical discipline or equivalent aviation experience.
10 years of experience in engineering.
5 years of experience working with Air Force airworthiness process and working knowledge of airworthiness bulletin 516 and supporting documents.
Experience creating and/or evaluating aircraft systems structures components repairs modifications and engineering changes for airworthiness and regulatory compliance.
Ability to interpret and evaluate technical data engineering documentation maintenance records drawings specifications and approved data for airworthiness compliance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide technical guidance and recommendations to engineering maintenance operations quality and regulatory stakeholders.
Ability to work independently prioritize multiple technical issues and make sound safety-focused decisions within established airworthiness processes.
Familiarity with configuration management reliability programs safety management systems and continued operational safety processes.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Due to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizen.

R4 must meet all minimum requirements stated above
- 15 years of experience in engineering.
- 10 years of direct experience using/applying the airworthiness process in accordance with AWB516.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Advanced degree in engineering.
10 years of experience with Air Force airworthiness process.
Familiarity with AWB516D.
Active security clearance holder.
