Position Summary
We are seeking an AIAgentEngineer to join theOCMO (Office of the Chief Marketing Officer)team at F5. This role focuses on designing building and deploying AI agents and automation solutions that improve operational workflows across the business.
You will collaborate withOCMObusiness stakeholders to turn operational needs into practical AI solutions making sure those solutionsare safe reliable and fit within the overallcompanyAI architecture responsibilities include building agents and apps integrating advanced AI models designing prompts automations and workflowstodriveproductivity gainsand operational excellence.Youwill combine engineeringexpertise an understanding of frontier AI applications and customer-facing skills to understand customer workflows and develop innovative solutions that address complex business challenges whilemaintainingourhigh standardsfor safety and role also includes a necessity toinfluenceacrossthe tools is one thing makingsure they are designed and secured appropriatelyand influencingothers to get approval for those tools to be deployed is the end goal.
Candidates must have hands-on experiencebuilding anddeploying agentic applications with modernfoundationalAI modelsfrom GoogleOpenAIandAnthropicstrong automation skills andexpertisein prompt engineering for ethical user-focused AI. Problem-solving ability repeatable solution development and clear communication in cross-functional settings are essential.
The role combines prompt engineering agent development and operational deployment ensuring solutions are reliable scalable and aligned with enterprise governance standards. You will collaboratewithOCMObusiness teams to refine workflows iterate on solutions and drive adoption whilepartneringwith Digital(IT)to ensure architectural alignment.
Success in this role requires stronginterpersonal skillstechnical curiosity the ability to translate real operational problems into AI-enabled(or non-AI-enabled)solutions and the capability to rapidly prototype and deploy automation through short execution cycles.

Discoveroperational workflow needs of the OCMO communitywhich wouldbenefitfrom an AI Agentic or automationdeliverable prioritize those needs and executewith agility.
Have an opinionrecommend and deliveralternative (Non-AI) solutions to meet the operational needs of the OCMO communitywhen those solutions are superior toan AI-Enabled solution.
DevelopdeploydocumentandmaintainAI agents apps and automation solutions that improve operational workflows.
Design test and refine prompts and agent behaviors toconsistently deliverreliable and high-quality outputs from generative AI systems.
Maintain strong knowledge of the latest developments in LLM capabilities implementation patterns and AI product development stacks.
Build long term relationships withinternal OCMOcustomers and proactivelyidentifynew opportunities for AI deployment throughout the lifecycle of an engagement.
Collaborate with Digital (IT) to ensure solutions align with enterprise governance security and architecture standardsand/or influencethe further refinement of the governance security and architecturestandardsas necessary.
Build and deploytailoredsolutionsleveragingagentic AIplatformssuch as Microsoft Copilot Google Gemini and otherleadingenterprise AI platforms.
Operationalize automation(AI and non-AI enabled)solutions across business functions including Services Customer Success Sales and Operations.
Measure solutionadoptionperformance troubleshoot issues and continuously improve agent interactions and automation workflows.
Support rapid pilot development and execution sprints tovalidateuse cases and demonstrate value.
Internalevangelizationtrainingandsupportof thesolutions you buildandany otherAItechnologies thatwould bringvalueto theorganization.
Document best practices and help scale successful AI solutions across teams.
Partner with business stakeholders to iterate on solutions and drive adoption through enablement and feedback loops.
Assist with Security and privacy reviews as needed.
Qualifications / WhatYoullBring
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Data Science or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
5 years of engineering experiencein a customer facingrole or as asoftware engineer with consultingexperience.
Production experience with LLMs including advanced prompt engineeringagent development evaluation frameworks and deployment at scale.
Proficiencyin programming with Python withadditionalexperience in one or more languages such as TypeScript or Java preferred. Proventrack recordof developing and deploying reliable production applications.
Proactive self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and theability to navigate ambiguity present in complex organizations.
High cooperation mindset for cross-organizational collaboration balancing competing priorities with integrity.
Passion for advancing safe beneficial AI systems through creative technical applications.
Strong communicationskills to conduct discovery withOCMOcustomers and to convey technical concepts to diversecross-functionalstakeholders whilemaintaininga low ego and collaborative approach.
Hands-on experience working with AIframeworks andplatforms such asLangChainOpenAIAPIs AnthropicAPIsCrewAIAutoGenMicrosoft CopilotStudio GoogleAIStudio or similarAI environments.
Hands-on experience with agentic coding platforms such asGoogleAntigravityClaude Codeor OpenAI Codex with experience in developing Skillsand integrating Tools.
Familiarity withcommonSalesandMarketingplatformssuchasSalesforceHubspotMarketoAdobesuiteTableauServiceNowand other enterpriseplatforms.
Ability to translate business requirements into AI-enabled(and whenappropriatenon-AI-enabled)automation solutions.
Knowledge of AI ethics and responsible AI prompt design principles.
Problem-solving mindset and user-centric development approach with an innate ability to translate user requirements into AI-based solutions.
Excellentinterpersonal skills high emotional intelligence and ability to develop effective partnerships across the company to engage align and gain stakeholder buy-in.

The annual base pay for this position is: $192000.00 - $288000.00F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge skills experience geographic locations and market conditions as well as to reflect F5s differing products industries and lines of business.
