Department Summary The College of Science at the University of North Texas consists of the Departments of Biological Sciences Chemistry Mathematics and Physics and the interdisciplinary programs: Teach North Texas BioDiscovery Institute Advanced Environmental Research Institute and Interdisciplinary Program in Applied and Computational Science. |
Position Overview This position provides administrative operational and analytical support to the Physics Department acting as the primary assistant to the Chair in all administrative and academic matters and serving as the Physics Department main office manager to ensure efficient friendly communications. Responsibilities include budgetary oversight of a wide variety of departmental activities including revenue-generating sub-units process management (e.g. ePARs) for all department personnel direct supervision of non-technical department administrative staff and coordinating a wide variety of department activities as a liaison to college and university offices. |
Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree and five years of highly responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience education and training. |
