Senior Accountant

Job Details:

SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for sales accountingactivities including daily review of margin changes monitoring and updating accruals tracking credit memos/rebills and inventory tracking expenses preparing and posting journal entries reconciling balance sheet accounts and weekly and month end closing activities. This position works closely with sales/BU analysts inventory CSRs RMG sales/plant accountants and controllers. Position is the primary contact for sales accounting inquiries and performing other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Requires a Bachelors degree in an academic field directly related to the job being filled. Accounting degree preferred. 12 hours minimum accounting required.

Experience: 3 plus years accounting experience.

Computer Skills: Intermediate computer skills. Proficient systems knowledge to include but not limited to SAP and MS Office applications. Advanced knowledge of Access preferred.

Communication Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Supervisory: None

Special Skills: Team member must have the ability to multitask possess good interpersonal skills and have an understanding of financial statements and related disclosures.
