Our client is a high-growth AI and robotics company building general-purpose robotic intelligence: one AI brain that runs on many kinds of hardware from humanoids and quadrupeds to warehouse automation.
They have raised $1.8B from top-tier investors including SoftBank Sequoia Capital NVIDIA Bezos Expeditions and Samsung. They count Amazon and NVIDIA as customers and have grown from 12 to about 200 employees in under two years.
The Role
Youll be the main accountant for both US and international operations reporting to the Controller. Youll own full-cycle accounting from end to end lead month-end closes and help build the finance stack as the company scales. The team values proven ability and a collaborative attitude over pedigree. This is a hands-on high-ownership role in a fast-moving startup.
What youll do:
- Own full-cycle accounting for US and international entities: AP AR payroll and the general ledger
- Lead the month-end close for international entities including reconciliations accruals and financial statements under US GAAP
- Keep documentation audit-ready and support audit preparation
- Work with the Controller to deliver accurate timely financial reports
- Lead system migrations and process improvements across QuickBooks Rillet and Rootstock ERP
What Were Looking For
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- 2 years of hands-on full-cycle accounting experience (58 years preferred) owning the close rather than supporting it
- Accounting experience at a high-growth venture-backed startup (AI robotics deep tech or Series C SaaS/hardware)
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online and advanced Excel (pivot tables VLOOKUP reconciliations)
- A proactive problem-solver who is comfortable with ambiguity and pays close attention to detail
- Able to commute on-site full-time in the South Bay Area (no relocation support)
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship (US Citizen or Green Card holder)
Nice to have: CPA; experience with multi-entity or international consolidations; hands-on experience with Rillet Rootstock ERP or an accounting system migration.
