What We Need:

As an Accountant crunching the numbers is how people describe what we do but if youre looking for an Accounting opportunity that allows you to have a unique level of ownership and impact iHeartMedia is the place for you. We are looking for accountants who are decision makers strategic partners problem solvers have a growth mindset and desire to understand the why. While terms like month-end close accounts payable accounts receivable and journal entries are common in job descriptions and resumes they only scratch the surface of what we do. At iHeartMedia these tasks are part of a much bigger storyone defined by ownership innovation and impact.

What Youll Do:

• Work directly with the Accounting Team in close collaboration with our Finance partners to transform financial data into actionable information and insights.

• This position has full P&L responsibility for the lines of business they support including recording and reviewing standard and non-standard accounting transactions explaining variances to forecast and budget able to identify opportunities for improvement and work with the finance team to identify business risks and opportunities.

• Owner of complex balance sheets reconciliations including preparing executive summaries reviewing balance sheet reconciliations prepared by iHeartMedia Staff Accountants and proactively working open items to resolution to ensure the balance sheet is correct.

• Connect the dots between transactions and their impact on the P&L and balance sheet.

• Identify and communicate opportunity areas to supervisors while also proposing solutions.

• Provide internal and external audit support compiling documentation coordinating efforts with both financial and non-financial resources and ensuring audit documentation is complete and demonstrates an adequate audit trail.

• Assist in preparing footnote disclosures and supporting schedules for Corporate Accounting.

• Participate in special projects and cross functional teams.

• Develop expertise in iHMs accounting systems to effectively and efficiently process and mine financial data.

• Develop subject matter expertise on different areas assigned.

What Youll Need:

• Bachelors degree in accounting and 5 years of relevant accrual-based accounting experience required.

• Advanced skills in Excel including advanced formulas pivot tables and v-lookup functions in order to manipulate large data sets.

• Financial systems experience (COGNOS NetSuite Peoplesoft etc.).

• Able to effectively communicate across multiple levels of the organization both written and oral.
