Senior Accountant
Our client located in Dallas TX has an immediate need for a Senior Accountant. This is a direct hire fully in office opportunity.

Specialized pediatric pharmacy serving Texas
Senior Accountant Role
Support the Controller with monthly quarterly and annual close processes and financial reporting.
Prepare journal entries accruals general ledger reconciliations and supporting schedules.
Review general ledger activity for accuracy appropriate coding and unusual or unsupported transactions.
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts including cash prepaid expenses fixed assets accrued expenses payroll and intercompany accounts.
Provide oversight and backup support for Accounts Payable including invoice coding vendor reconciliations AP aging and payment processing.
Review and reconcile Accounts Receivable balances payments credits refunds aging reports and collection activity.
Support payroll accounting and reconcile payroll benefits 401(k) HSA/FSA PTO and related accounts as needed.
Research accounting discrepancies and partner with appropriate departments to resolve outstanding items.
Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules reconciliations and supporting documentation.
Review accounting work and provide day to day guidance to Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable payroll and other accounting staff as assigned.
Partner with the Controller to maintain and improve accounting policies procedures internal controls and workflows.
Coordinate with other departments on accounting matters process improvements and special projects.
Perform additional accounting responsibilities and special projects as assigned by the Controller and CEO.
Senior Accountant Background Profile
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field preferred.
5 years of progressive accounting experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting account reconciliations Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable and month end close.
Hands on experience preparing journal entries accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.
Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience with Sage 300 or similar accounting software preferred.
Ability to research discrepancies identify solutions and work independently.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Previous experience providing guidance or oversight to accounting team members preferred.
Healthcare pharmacy or long term care industry experience is a plus.
