Senior Accountant
This role will be a key partner to the Controller taking ownership of core general ledger close inventory costing and financial reporting activities. This role combines accounting and practical manufacturing insight and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily guidance and review support to junior accounting staff and serve as backup for the Controller.

• Lead monthly quarterly and annual close processes; prepare journal entries account reconciliations balance sheet roll-forwards and financial statements.

• Oversee standard costing job costing WIP accounting cycle counts and variance analysis (labor scrap overhead and margins) in partnership with plant leadership.

• Maintain audit-ready documentation enforce internal controls/SOPs and assist external auditors and tax advisors with schedules and compliance requests.

• Support ERP implementation and data clean-up while identifying opportunities to automate and standardize processes across locations.

• Assist with cash flow forecasting budgeting fixed assets operational KPIs and ad hoc analysis for executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience including responsibility for close reconciliations and financial reporting
• Prior manufacturing accounting experience with inventory job costing or work-in-process accounting
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP IFRS internal controls and financial reporting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner at all levels
• Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion
