Senior Accountant

Purpose of the Job

You will be responsible for delivering accurate accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of private funds. Youll ensure all client deliverables are completed on time in line with regulatory requirements industry standards and Ocorians service commitments.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day accounting for assigned funds including journal entries general ledger maintenance bank reconciliations and partner capital account allocations.
• Prepare capital call and distribution notices investor reports capital account statements and fund performance calculations.
• Produce financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with US GAAP ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Develop a thorough understanding of assigned fund structures transactions and reporting requirements to ensure timely delivery of client outputs.
• Build strong relationships with clients investors auditors and other professional advisers responding to queries and supporting reporting and audit deadlines.
• Support the completion of audits and ensure all regulatory statutory and compliance obligations are met.
• Contribute to process improvements internal controls and the ongoing development of team procedures and best practices.
• Undertake other duties appropriate to the role as required.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• CPA ACCA ACA CIMA or Masters degree is advantageous but not essential.

Knowledge Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in fund accounting or a similar accounting role.
• Strong accounting knowledge including an understanding of financial reporting principles and US GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence using financial systems and technology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Well-organised able to manage competing priorities and deliver to deadlines.
• Proactive adaptable and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Continuous improvement mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality client service.
