Starting pay rate $25.41/hr (non-negotiable)

Primary Purpose of Position

Protect the health and welfare of the public by defending the station against any act of radiological sabotage attack or theft of special nuclear material. As specified by procedure and the site security plan maintain a secure perimeter for site access and egress and employee contractor and visitor entry. Perform search patrol and inspections in accordance with the Station Security Plan procedures and post orders.



Primary Duties and Accountabilities



Maintain qualifications for position
Conduct patrols and inspections
Monitor access to security areas
Perform search activities
Respond to threats and contingency events
Perform equipment testing
Acts as a member of an Armed Response Force to provide physical protection of Constellation nuclear clean energy centers and evaluate adversarial actions to prevent intrusion and acts of sabotage.
Conduct armed stationary foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior).
Control access and/or egress of personnel materials and vehicles.
Monitor Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) plant surveillance equipment and alarm systems.
Deter criminal activity misconduct and safety violations.
Maintains and implements extensive NRC requirements and Federal/State Laws for site protection and protected area access control.
Participate in initial and annual formal training program to complete class and field qualifications necessary to be an armed Nuclear Security Officer
Responsible for accurate documentation and record keeping as required by federal and corporate guidelines.
Maintains thorough knowledge of plant and plant systems to adequately initiate and maintain sites defensive strategy.
