Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Specialist to join our team in New Orleans Louisiana. The Security Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facilities staff and patients. This is a full-time permanent position with competitive benefits and opportunities for growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and control access to the facility ensuring only authorized personnel are allowed entry

- Conduct routine patrols of the facility to identify and address any security risks or concerns

- Respond to and investigate any security incidents or breaches

- Maintain accurate records of all security-related activities

- Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement security protocols and procedures

- Train staff on emergency response procedures and conduct regular drills

- Conduct background checks and screenings for all new employees

- Monitor surveillance systems and report any suspicious activity

- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and make recommendations for improving security measures

- Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed

- Serve as a point of contact for any security-related concerns from staff patients or visitors

- Assist with any other security-related tasks as assigned by management

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree in criminal justice or related field preferred

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in security or law enforcement

- Knowledge of security protocols and procedures

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to remain calm and handle high-stress situations

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and security systems

- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
