Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Security Officer NB you will ensure a reasonably safe and secure healthcare environment by promptly responding to security emergencies and maintaining a professional demeanor while supporting CommonSpirit Healths mission and strategic goals.
Every day you will observe and report activities/incidents preserve order enforce regulations and policies when assistance is requested and document all incidents and requests within the hospital reporting platform acting consistently with CommonSpirit Healths core values.

- Protecting staff patients and visitors by responding to calls for assistance in a timely and prudent manner. Calls may include incidents such as violent or unruly patients visitors crimes committed or in progress or to emergency codes and requests for opening doors. Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle; monitor security alarms and dispatch officers promptly to location(s) where needed; and report unsafe acts or conditions.
- Knowledge of emergency procedures equipment and supplies including of radios and hospital codes.
- Reports HIPAA breaches if witnessed; investigate security breaches conducts investigations and writes incident reports. Ensures that all activities are logged. That incident reports are accurately completed that they are clear concise legible and submitted in a timely manner.
- Use appropriate emergency and radio codes in dispatching security officers while knowing hospital campus to ensure that dispatches are to right location. Keeping the organizations mission vision and values at the forefront of all decision making and action.

Job Requirements
Required
- High School Graduate upon hire or
- High School GED upon hire and
- Six (6) months experience as security officer in a healthcare setting Law enforcement or military service; upon hire or
- One (1) year experience as a Security Officer upon hire
- Security Guard: CA upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR within 90 Days and
- Drivers License: CA within 30 Days and
- DMV Moving Violations within 30 Days
