As a Security Officer General Dutyin Columbia SC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting a commercial real estate location. You will monitor entry points verify credentials manage badge access assist visitors and tenants and document security-related activity while providing exceptional customer service. Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants visitors contractors and/or property management personnel by carrying out access-control procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points verify credentials and visitor authorization maintain visitor records and direct guests in accordance with commercial property procedures.
• Respond to incidents access-control concerns and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building entrances lobbies common areas parking facilities and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Operate access-control systems cameras alarms and communication equipment; report malfunctions unusual conditions and security-related concerns to Allied Universal supervision and/or site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
