As a Security Officer Full Time Xray Specialist in Fort Lauderdale FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a government airport location you will support a professional welcoming environment by screening individuals and property monitoring access points and reporting security-related concerns. You will remain visible to help deter incidents communicate clearly with travelers and staff and deliver responsive service. Pay Rate: $18.53 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and emergency response activities at an airport development location.
• Screen personnel visitors packages and/or equipment entering designated areas in accordance with established access-control and screening procedures.
• Verify identification credentials and authorizations for access to restricted or controlled areas reporting discrepancies through appropriate channels.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned airport facilities access points and perimeter areas documenting observations and reporting unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement military or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state county or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
