As a Security Officer Full Time - Downtownin Portland OR you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer supporting a government location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents conduct routine access control and alarm response activities and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $25.90 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors employees and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures policies and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents public inquiries and critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas building interiors exterior grounds entrances and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions maintenance concerns policy violations and security-related incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity logs incident reports and other documentation accurately and in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
