As a Security Officer Access Screening Agent in Norfolk VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees visitors drivers and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and access control protocols at an active transportation and logistics location.
• Monitor entry and exit points verify identification and/or credentials maintain visitor logs and communicate access restrictions or reporting requirements as directed by site procedures.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and report unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around gate areas parking areas and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and support security-related operations.
• Observe vehicle and/or pedestrian traffic patterns document daily activities and incidents and assist with directing people to the proper check-in or delivery areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
