Job Title: Security Analyst Intermediate
Contract Duration: 12 Months (with possible extension)
Location: 100% Remote (occasional travel for onsite meetings 2 weeks per year)

We are seeking a Security Analyst Intermediate to support Medicaid security for payment processing systems. This position offers diverse challenges continuous learning opportunities and a relaxed yet supportive work environment.

• Perform vulnerability scanning and coordinate remediation with responsible teams.

• Deploy and manage Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) solutions.

• Review and evaluate firewall requests.

• Research and assess newly released vulnerabilities.

• Assist with incident response and investigations.

• Support GRC (Governance Risk Compliance) assessments.

• Create alerts in SIEM tools based on data from multiple security systems.

• Strong ability to communicate vulnerability information to non-security personnel.

• Working knowledge of web applications.

• Working knowledge of databases (Oracle MSSQL MySQL).

• Solid understanding of networking concepts and tools (Nmap Wireshark vulnerability scanning).

• Hands-on experience with SIEM search and analysis.

• Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.

• Familiarity with NIST 800-53 standards.

• Minimum: High School Diploma

• Preferred: Security certification
