Job Summary

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Secret-Cleared Digital Engineer in Woodland Hills CA for a one-year onsite contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The Digital Engineer will support design and verification of digital systems on a safety-critical development program. This role supports advanced digital transformation efforts using model-based engineering DevSecOps and Agile practices. The position requires high-speed digital design and verification experience FPGA/SOC/ASIC implementation experience and an active Secret clearance.

Required Skills

Bachelors degree in a STEM field with 5 years of relevant experience masters degree in a STEM field with 3 years of relevant experience or PhD in a STEM field with 1 year of relevant experience.
U.S. citizenship required.
Active U.S. Government Secret clearance required.
Ability to work onsite full-time in Woodland Hills CA.
Experience with high-speed digital design and verification.
Experience with FPGA SOC or ASIC implementation.
Experience with VHDL Verilog synthesis and timing closure.
Experience with hardware requirements definition conceptual design detailed design verification and production transition.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to interface with program leads senior scientists engineering teams and manufacturing organizations.
Ability to support safety-critical digital system development.

Preferred Skills

Experience with verification and validation technologies such as SystemVerilog UVM or hardware-in-the-loop.
Knowledge of computer architecture including bus standards interrupts and memory.
Experience with model-based engineering tools such as MATLAB or Simulink.
Understanding of fixed-point and floating-point design considerations.
Experience with sensors and digital signal processing.
Cost Account Management certification or experience.
Experience with safety-critical designs including DO-254.
Communication team building and facilitation skills.

What Youll Do

Support design and verification of digital systems for safety-critical development programs.
Apply digital design and verification concepts throughout the program lifecycle.
Support FPGA SOC and ASIC implementation activities.
Work with requirements processes procedures and tools supporting next-generation navigation video and cockpit products.
Collaborate with development program leads senior scientists engineering teams and manufacturing teams.
Support model-based engineering DevSecOps Agile practices and automation-focused development approaches.
Contribute to hardware requirements definition conceptual design detailed design verification and production transition.
Help ensure digital systems meet technical program and safety-critical requirements.
