Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Secondary Office Admin at Albany Area Secondary School. This full-time position plays a vital role in supporting the administrative operations of the school ensuring a smooth and efficient environment for students staff and parents. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced educational setting.

Responsibilities
- Manage daily office operations including answering phones greeting visitors and responding to inquiries from students parents and staff.
- Maintain accurate student records including attendance grades and personal information in compliance with school policies and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of school communications including newsletters announcements and event information.
- Coordinate scheduling for meetings conferences and school events ensuring all logistical details are handled efficiently.
- Support the administration in maintaining inventory of office supplies and ordering necessary materials.
- Assist with financial tasks including processing invoices managing petty cash and maintaining budget records.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to facilitate communication and address any administrative needs.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures as well as local state and federal regulations.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the position.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associates or bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in an administrative role preferably in an educational setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and experience with school management software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a busy environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks.
