Job Summary
Seasonal Grain Operations
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Seasonal Grain Operator to support daily grain handling operations during harvest and peak seasonal periods. This position is responsible for receiving grading handling storing and loading grain while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive unload and load grain from trucks and railcars.
- Operate grain handling equipment including conveyors legs augers and related machinery.
- Assist with grain sampling grading and quality control procedures.
- Monitor grain conditions and storage facilities.
- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Follow all company safety policies OSHA regulations and operational procedures.
- Accurately complete required documentation and records.
- Assist with additional operations and facility tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to work extended hours weekends holidays and overtime during peak harvest seasons.
- Strong work ethic dependability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to climb ladders work at heights and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred
- Previous grain handling agriculture manufacturing or equipment operation experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic maintenance skills.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing walking bending climbing and lifting.
- Ability to work in dusty environments and varying outdoor weather conditions.
- Ability to safely work at elevated heights and around moving equipment.
