What You Will Do:
We are currently searching foraScientific Program Managertoprovideexpertiseandadviceforspecialized projectsassociated with mechanical engineeringexpertiserequiring customautomation.The person who fills this role will manage scientific projects intheirdomain ofexpertiseto ensuresuccessfulcompletion. Thisis a full-time on-site opportunity inRockvilleMD.
Provide research management and analytic support for a range of major projects including development of research protocolscoordination of large scientific initiatives designing and developing survey data collection instruments developing computerizedsystems for data collectionreviewingand editing analytic databases.
Collaborate with staff on the planning implementation coordination and evaluation of programs and initiatives in the assignedspecialty area of research.
Spearhead compilationanalysisand organization of scientific program and related information; and develop and/or lead data analysis/dyadicdata analysis.
Provide scientific evaluation and analysis tofacilitatemanagement of Programs related to bioinformatics and big data.
Monitor automated robotic systems including coordinating usemaintainingand calibrating hardware and preparing screening libraries.
Attend review scientificin-houseand various other meetings; provide minutes/reports and self-directed analysis when requested.
Evaluate program activities toidentifyissues and develop recommendations for improvement.

Identifyoperational and technical problemswork with staff toidentifya recommended action plan and solutions.
Develop and implement comprehensive studies of performance measures to evaluate program productivity develop metrics andmilestones to assess progress of the program.
Perform study design management decision making workgroup materialreviewsand presentations.
Coordinate and document projects from beginning to completion;monitorand report the status of completion funding and resultsattained; provide progress reports.
Prepare data summaries manuscripts professionalpresentationsand patient educational materials.
Participate and aid in making recommendations andmonitorimplementation to improve management and progress of researchconducted.
Review and summarize materials and datagather and coordinate information for reviewconduct data entry and file maintenance andeditand/or prepare textdataand charts.
Plan organizeandparticipatein technical meetings and consultations thatconvenediverse experts to advance key issues in scientificresearch.
Track implementation of theproject; review progress in relation to the plan; work with theprojectteam to revise the plan as neededdevelop andmaintaina project-tracking document.
Coordinate and design activities related to the development approvals and launching of new research funding conceptsdevelop project specific plans and timelines needed to execute studies and research and other projects work with staff on the development and coordination of scientific initiatives.
What You Will Need:
Masters degree inmechanicalengineering or similar field
MinimumFOUR(4)years ofprogram managementexperience.
Compound and sample managementexpertiseto enable high throughputscreening applications
Experience withavariety of project management techniques such as Agile.
Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD software such as SolidWorks orOnShape
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust. Candidates must receive approved adjudication of their Public Trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an active Public Trust or existing suitability are preferred.
