The ideal candidate will bring strong content knowledge effective instructional practices and a passion for helping students succeed in both individual and collaborative learning environments.
As a Science Instructor you will design and implement purposeful lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and instructional goals utilizing differentiated strategies and varied assessment methods to support all learners. You will cultivate a positive classroom culture that promotes respect intellectual engagement and active participation while effectively managing classroom procedures and student behavior. Collaboration is an essential component of this position as you will work closely with guidance staff special education personnel and support service educators to ensure accommodations and individualized supports are successfully implemented.
In addition to classroom instruction this role requires a commitment to professional growth reflective teaching practices and ongoing communication with students and families. The successful candidate will actively participate in professional learning communities uphold the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality and support the mission policies and values of the district while helping to maintain a safe ethical and student-centered school environment.
To be considered for this position Science Instructors must possess an activeState of Connecticut teaching certificate in one of the following areas:

Position Highlights
- Schedule: first shift full time (35 hours per week)Monday through Friday.
- Location:Ella T. Grasso Technical High School in Groton CT.
- Salary: VS01-VS02 derived from theState Vocational Federation of Teachers.
- Academic Calendar:CTECS follows a ten-month academic calendar(188 days per year.)

For over 100 years CTECS has been the leading force in Career Technical Education (CTE) in the State of Connecticut. CTECS operates 17 diploma-granting technical high schools one technical education center and two airframe mechanics and aircraft maintenance programs.
