LPN license required RN preferredEssential duties and responsibilities to include but not limited to:Provide direct nursing care and first aid for student illnesses and medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders district policies and state accurate and confidential student health records in compliance with FERPA and HIPAA guidelines as immunization compliance and health screenings as required by state with parents physicians school personnel and community agencies regarding student health health education to students staff and families on topics including wellness disease prevention nutrition and safety. Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate emergency care until emergency medical personnel as a member of Section 504 Individualized Education Program (IEP) and other student support teams when health concerns impact educational and report suspected child abuse or neglect in accordance with state communicable diseases and implement infection prevention and control a healthy school environment through collaboration with school staff and community Skills and Abilities required:Knowledge of pediatric nursing public health principles and school health communication and interpersonal skills when working with students families and school of federal and state laws related to student health including Section 504 IDEA FERPA and applicable nursing to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional organizational documentation and time management with electronic health records and district information resumes to or deliver paper resumes to Superintendent Valorie McClearySearcy County School District952 Highway 65 NorthMarshall AR 72650
