School-Based Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
Location: Reading PA through the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU)
Schedule:Full-time 10-month position. M-F school day hours. Hourly position; you are only paid for the hours that you work
Caseload: K-12 Autistic Support Multiple Disabilities and Life Skills classrooms
Additional Details: PCAs will provide services during the school calendar year and will follow the school calendar for days off holidays etc. Summers are off; ESY may be available but is not guaranteed.

What youll do as a PCA.
Our PCAs are vital members of the school team. They work to deliver high-quality services to a variety of students grades K-12. Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide individualized support to a student based on their educational and behavioral needs.
- Assist with classroom activities transitions and engagement in learning.
- Support with behavior management strategies as directed by the teacher or behavioral team.
- Help with daily living tasks such as mobility toileting feeding and communication as needed.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers therapists and school staff to support the students IEP goals.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and procedures.

Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or higher is required
- A minimum of 6 months recent experience working with children in a school or daycare setting is required
- Must be comfortable using a computer
- Must be able to complete clinical documentation to school district standards
- Current clearances (within 6 months)
