School Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate dependable and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one nursing care to an elementary school student within the Dover School District.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an LPN who enjoys working with children and wants to make a meaningful difference in a students school day. The ideal candidate will be patient attentive and comfortable providing hands-on care while helping the student participate as fully and safely as possible in the school environment.

Schedule: MondayFriday Modified schedule 12:00-3:00pm (working up to full day schedule 8:00am-3:00pm)
Setting: Dover School District Elementary School 1:1 Student Care
Additional Requirement: Nursing support during school bus runs

The student requires individualized nursing support and has complex medical and developmental needs including:

• G-tube care and management
• Wheelchair-dependent mobility
• Visual impairment
• Non-verbal communication
• Assistance with activities of daily living and personal care
• Close monitoring and support throughout the school day
• Safe transportation support during the school bus run

• Provide compassionate individualized 1:1 nursing care throughout the school day and during the assigned bus run
• Monitor the students health status and respond appropriately to medical needs
• Provide G-tube care and administer feedings medications and treatments according to physician orders and the students care plan
• Assist with positioning mobility transfers and other physical care needs as appropriate
• Monitor for changes in the students condition and communicate concerns promptly
• Support the students communication comfort safety and participation in the classroom and school activities
• Collaborate closely with teachers school staff parents/guardians and healthcare providers
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation
• Follow all school district and nursing care policies and procedures
• Provide a calm supportive and nurturing presence for the student throughout the school day

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of New Hampshire
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience within the last five years
• Pediatric school nursing G-tube or complex-care experience preferred
• Current CPR Certification required
• Comfortable providing hands-on care and assisting with mobility and positioning
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
• Reliable transportation
• Strong communication assessment and organizational skills
• Patient compassionate dependable and attentive approach to caring for children
• Ability to work collaboratively with school personnel families and healthcare professionals
