Founded in 1977 the company operates from a 150000 square foot manufacturing and roasting facility more than 2 million pounds of green coffee storage facility 50 million pounds annually of coffee roasting capacity as well as multiple roasting lines flavor mixing systems and 14 automated packaging lines.

WAGE RANGE (NON-EXEMPT): $19.77 - $21.00 / Hour
SCHEDULE:Weekend Shift 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM Friday - Sunday
REPORTS TO: Quality Control Supervisor
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sanitation Technician is responsible for custodial duties in various areas of the Cascade Coffee Facility which include but not limited to restrooms employee breakrooms handwashing stations outside areas trash removal factory walkways and stocking cleaning supplies etc. This role is a full-time opportunity.
Primary responsibilities are ensuring that PPE and staff toiletries are addition spot cleaning in employee restrooms and will use chemicals according to company guidelines as well as safe practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Performs spot checks on all restrooms daily.
- Cleans both employee break rooms daily.
- Weekly performs cleaning duties per Cascade Coffees KLEANZ program.
- Complies with General Safety Communication Program.
- Complies with all Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety protocols.
- Clean and dust the Employee Welcome and Training Center.
- The full-time Sanitation Technician will be primarily responsible for Sweeping and Mopping main walkways and dusting walkway railings.
*Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- 1-3 years experience of custodial or janitorial experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Attention to detail and able to work well with the team.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Intermediate oral and written communications skills required.
- Basic ability to read write calculate simple math and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
- Ability to work independently and communicate with other employees on quality issues.
WORK ENVIROMENT AND EQUIPMENT:
- This job is located within the corporate office in an indoor environment.
- Required to stand on a hard surface floor for several hours a day and walking between outside buildings.
- This position is inside a warehouse roasting facility that requires constant standing on concrete floors exposed to loud equipment noise and subject to coffee dust and flavoring smells.
- Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions when transferring product from one building
- to another.
- Occasionally required to work with heights.
- Personal protection equipment and other Good Manufacturing Practices are mandatory.
WORK HABITS:
- Regular attendance and promptness are a requirement for this position.
- Employees must also be flexible to work additional hours outside a shift as required.
- Assists new training of employees as directed.
