Job Summary

Alta Equipment Company is currently seeking a Sales Representative for Compact Construction Equipmentto cover Northeast Michigan (including Saginaw to Cheboygan counties)as a sales territory. This role will report out of Burton role is responsible for securing profitable business for the company through proper planning adequate territory coverage and effective sales presentations. Accountable for sales of compact equipment that Alta Equipment Company carries. Other required duties as specified by their assigned Sales primary responsibilities of the position consist of but are not limited to:Secures orders conducts surveys of assigned territory studies product potential; locatesnew prospects and determines prospects needs; plans sales calls makes presentations points out the benefits of the equipment and emphasizes the advantages of dealing with this customers solve problems provides technical assistance as needed keeps customerup to date on new informed on new contracts and opportunities; settles complaints establishes and maintains personal relations with customers; assists at exhibits demonstrations and familiar with new products and competitors products keeps company informed ofchanges which can affect their a system for keeping literature brochures price sheets etc. neat and up todate; informs customers regarding catalog and price changes; studies financing records of calls makes reports as required works according to plan follows up on all leads bid openings and inquiries; controls travel telephone and entertainment presents customers with quotations. Verifies all programs offered by the manufactures to present the best option to the customer. Maintains required communications; advises superiors of all changes in their territorywhich can affect company success; cooperates with other company a high degree of sales professionalism through study and attendance at meetingsand association activities where improvement programs are that equipment is correctly delivered and meets all the conditions of the sale;takes action to render prompt service in case of any Tows and Shows equipment to with employees of other company of all changes within given territory which have an impact on company to the assigned Sales Manager for proper interpretation and fulfillment of all functions specific and general responsibilities and related authorities and activities and cooperates on matters of mutual concern with other department/functional other duties as assigned by the Sales of Measurement:The attainment of sales revenue growth and satisfaction expressed by customers concerning territory management and sales representatives satisfaction of management and other members of the company concerning Demands/Work Environment:Must be able to lift 90lbs 50% of the time in order to load/unload be knowledgeable about the operation of a personal computer business system and Microsoft -A / Chauffeur License preferred or the ability to meet the requirements to obtain.
