Job Summary
The Optical Specialist is customer-facing role at the heart of the Eyeglass World in-store experience. This position brings the brand to life through confident service attention to detail and ownership of the final moments that matter most from pre-exam support to eyewear readiness fitting and pickup. As a key member of the team this role ensures every customer interaction feels seamless elevated and on-brand. This role blends customer connection optical support and finishing excellence to deliver consistent high-quality experiences.
Essential Functions:
Create an Exceptional Customer Experience
- Deliver warm confident and personalized service at every stage of the visit
- Guide customers through eyewear selection final fitting and product education
- Ensure customers leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and their experience
Support Clinical & In Store Flow
- Assist with patient flow and pre exam screenings to support Optometrists
- Help ensure smooth transitions between exam finish and pickup moments
- Serve as a calm knowledgeable presence throughout the customer journey
Own Finish & Quality Excellence
- Perform finishing work including final adjustments inspections and quality checks
- Ensure all eyewear meets Eyeglass World standards for fit function and presentation
- Prepare orders for pickup and deliver polished brand aligned handoff
Operate with Precision & Care
- Support order entry tracking and timely completion
- Maintain organized clean and efficient finish and retail areas
- Identify and resolve quality or service issues proactively
Bring the Brand to Life
- Model Eyeglass World service standards tone and behaviors in every interaction
- Uphold visual experiential and operational brand standards in the store
- Partner with the store team to deliver a consistent and elevated experience
Qualifications :
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)
Work Experience
- 1 year experience in optical retail sales or customer service (Required)
Additional Skills
- Strong multitasking time management and organizational skills (Required)
- Clear communication and the ability to educate customers effectively (Required)
- Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction at every interaction (Required0
- Support store team in shared goals (Required)
- Bilingual abilities (Preferred)
