Sales Associate I Full Time

The Rescue Mission is seeking a Full-Time Sales Associate I to work in our Cortland Thrifty Shopper Store. The Sales Associate I serves customers by displaying promoting sizing pricing and tagging merchandise. This position assists store management with running an efficient and service-oriented store. Promotes Rescue Mission while building relationships with customers. Provides customer service by greeting the customers with a smile and hello providing information and answering questions. Responsible for opening and closing procedures in the absence of store manager and/or assistant store manager. Responsible for cash reconciliation at the end of shifts in the absence of store manager and/or assistant store manager. Displays merchandise by stocking shelves counters racks and tables as needed. Promotes sales by setting up displays making announcements as directed by the supervisor and informing customers of the special sales. Obtains payments by processing cash checks sales discounts and credit cards. Maintains the clean and orderly condition of the store. Contributes by displaying a team attitude. Creates a safe environment by complying with procedures and policies. Assists in identifying reporting and solving issues to the store management.
