Training & Development Intern Summer 2027

The Training & Development Intern will work alongside Marquettes Training team to help develop deliver track and improve training programs for vessel and shore-based employees. This internship provides hands-on exposure to learning and development business operations communication data analysis and the maritime industry. No maritime or safety experience is required we are looking for someone who is curious organized willing to learn and ready to Responsibilities:Support the Safety & Training team in developing and implementing training programs for vessel and shore-based employees ensuring alignment with company objectives and safety in training sessions employee orientations and other hands-on learning activities with opportunities to develop and deliver training review and update training content to reflect changes in safety procedures technology and industry best and document employee training progress certifications and evaluations to support compliance and promotion administrative support for training initiatives including scheduling sessions preparing materials and maintaining training industry trends and regulatory updates to support the integration of best practices into training in gathering feedback from participants and compiling reports to measure training effectiveness and identify areas for duties and projects as :Currently seeking an Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Communications Safety or related fields. Eager to learn and enthusiastic about developing skills in safety training and employee attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and mindset with the ability to gather interpret and present data to support training communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to collaborate in a team in public speaking and able to develop the ability to deliver training content accurately and in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn new software or tools as Join UsExperience a cornerstone industry in our region and learn how a large marine transportation company develops its hands-on experience in training employee development business operations and data-driven decision real-world skills in communication presentation project management and program relationships with leaders vessel employees subject matter experts and fellow summer on meaningful projects with the opportunity to see your work put into is a paid summer internship opportunity located onsite in Paducah KY with internship dates ranging from mid-May 2027 to early August 2027 (can be flexible on dates).
